Mercedes-Benz is recalling 127 examples of its 2020 Sprinter due to an issue with the brake hoses.

“The outer layer of the brake hoses at the front and rear axles may have been damaged during the production process,” the company says in its recall notice.

“Affected brake hoses may leak brake fluid. This will reduce the vehicle’s braking power and directional stability, increasing the risk of an accident that could cause injury or death of the vehicle occupants or other road users.”

    • A total of 127 vehicles are affected.
    • Affected vehicles were available for sale from 6 April 2020 to 30 October 2020.
    • The VIN list is attached here.
    • The original recall notice is attached here.

If you own an affected Sprinter, you should take it to your Mercedes-Benz dealer to be checked and repaired.
