Mercedes-Benz has recalled the 2020 GLA due to a faulty ground connection on the front passenger airbag.

“The ground connection of the front passenger airbag may not meet the specifications,” Mercedes-Benz says in its recalls notice.

“This may mean that an electrostatic charge could not be diverted via the ground connection and may trigger the front passenger airbag.”

“The front passenger airbag may randomly inflate, increasing the risk of an accident and/or serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

    • A total of 13 vehicles are affected
    • Affected cars were sold between 1 June, 2020 and 29 October, 2020
