Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled the 2020 AMG A45 S and CLA45 S to fix a problem with the spark plugs.
“The spark plugs in vehicles may not meet specification. As a result the spark plugs may fail during regular use,” Mercedes-Benz says in its recall notice.
“If the spark plugs fail and parts enter the combustion chamber this could lead to engine damage. An engine stall may occur which would increase the risk of an accident and injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

Mercedes-Benz will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix.
