The 2020 Genesis G70 is available with a choice of two engines and four trim levels, with prices starting from $59,300 before on-road costs.
It’s the first all-new model to launch under Hyundai’s new Genesis luxury brand and rivals the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

The 2020 Genesis G70 is available with two different engines: a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 179kW of power and 353Nm of torque, and a twin-turbocharged 3.3-litre V6 engine producing 272kW of power and 510Nm of torque.
Both are available only with rear-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The G70 does the 0-100km/h sprint in a claimed 5.9 seconds with the 2.0-litre and 4.7 seconds with the 3.3-litre.
The 2020 Genesis G70 consumes 8.7L/100km on the combined cycle when equipped with the 2.0-litre turbo four and 10.2L/100km on the combined cycle with the 3.3-litre twin-turbo six.
It requires 95RON premium unleaded fuel.
The 2020 Genesis G70 measures 4685mm long, 1400mm tall and 1850mm wide.
Total luggage space is 330L.
When the Genesis G70 was tested by ANCAP in 2018, it received a rating of five stars.
All 2020 Genesis G70 models come standard with autonomous emergency braking with forward-collision warning and pedestrian detection, as well as lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, anti-lock brakes, and front, front-side and curtain airbags.
All G70s also include a driver’s knee airbag.

A sunroof is optional on all models bar the Ultimate and Ultimate Sport, where it’s standard fitment.
The 2020 Genesis G70 has complimentary scheduled servicing for the first five years or 50,000km, whichever comes first.
This is in addition to the company’s five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.
Service intervals are every 12 months or 10,000km, whichever comes first.
Genesis buyers also receive five years of free 24/7 roadside assistance. The company will also pick up and return your G70 from servicing appointments and loan you a courtesy vehicle.
