American Special Vehicles has recalled the 2014-2019 Ram 1500 diesel to fix a problem with the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system.
According to the company, a manufacturing defect means the EGR cooler might crack and cause coolant to leak into the intake manifold.
Should the problem occur, there’s a risk the car will catch fire.
American Special Vehicles will contact owners of the affected cars and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
