Nissan Australia has recalled the 2012-2015 Infiniti Q70 to fix a problem with the prop shaft.
According to the company, “the fatigue strength of the propeller shaft is lower than expected and the propeller shaft may crack and detach” due to “improper material and dimensions”.
“If the propeller shaft cracks and detaches, the driver will notice engine noise. If the vehicle continues to be driven, the vehicle may stop without warning,” Nissan Australia says.
“If this occurs in traffic, there is an increased risk of an accident, that could result in serious injury or death to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”

Nissan is contacting owners of affected vehicles.
If you own a Q70 that’s part of the recall, you’ll need to take it to a Nissan dealership for a free fix.
