The Volvo V60 is a mid-sized wagon that carried one of Volvo's most traditional strengths into the modern era. It is no longer on sale as a new model in Australia, reflecting the local market's shift away from wagons and toward SUVs. The V60 combined elegant proportions, a useful load area and a premium cabin with Volvo's strong safety focus, making it a refined family car for buyers who preferred a lower driving position. It offered a more car-like alternative to the XC60, with better handling balance and easier loading than many SUVs. Its appeal remains its blend of practicality, design restraint and long-distance comfort in a body style now rare in luxury showrooms.
