2025 Volvo EX40 price and specs: Electric XC40 gets a new name
2 Years Ago
The Volvo EX40 is the electric version of Volvo's compact SUV, replacing the XC40 Recharge name with branding that better fits the wider EX family. It keeps the practical five-door body, elevated driving position and premium cabin feel that made the XC40 popular, while offering smooth electric performance and a choice of drivetrain configurations depending on grade. In Australia it targets buyers who want a compact luxury SUV with zero tailpipe emissions, strong safety credentials and familiar Volvo design. The EX40 is less radical than the smaller EX30 or larger EX90, but that is part of its appeal. It feels like a conventional small SUV adapted successfully for electric family use.
