The Renault Kadjar is a mid-sized SUV that has been discontinued in Australia, where it sat between the Captur and larger Koleos. It shared broad underpinnings with the Nissan Qashqai, combining Renault styling with a practical five-seat cabin and efficient petrol power. The Kadjar targeted families and commuters wanting a European alternative to mainstream SUVs without moving into premium-brand pricing. Its strengths were comfort, easy everyday manners and distinctive exterior design, although it arrived in a highly competitive segment with strong Japanese, Korean and Chinese rivals. The Kadjar has since been replaced overseas by newer Renault SUV thinking, but it remains a useful reference point for the brand's local family-SUV history.
