Have you experienced any reliability issues with your vehicle since you purchased it?

    No.

Have you had to make any warranty claims?

    No.

Has your vehicle been serviced at least once since you took ownership?

    No.

Overall, are you satisfied with your ownership experience so far?

    Yes.

It's a very versatile wagon, has enough room for my music gear and doing road trips, etc., it's even towed my little bogged tractor/slasher out of the paddock, very handy.

It's my third Subaru and will probably stay loyal to the brand, given my overall ownership experience.

John’s experience with the 2025 Subaru Outback XT Touring

I traded my 2023 Forester Premium for a 2025 Outback Touring XT.

A couple of negs first. As others have said, parking needs a bit more care. Front sensors would have helped here, but the cameras show how far away the object is, and that definitely helps.

Road noise on course chip is worth mentioning, but you don't notice it as much when the car is fully loaded up. On normal tarmac its very quiet and the Harman Kardon factory sound system is very good.

The wheels are 18s, which give a much less jarring ride over some of the rougher B-roads we travel a lot, compared to the 19s or 20-inch wheels on similar cars we test drove in the segment.

Just did our first 3000km interstate run with my wife, luggage, car fridge, etc., and averaged 7.1 litres per hundred, about the same as my Forester on a long trip, which really surprised me.

We wanted a fully loaded, roomy, comfortable and powerful around Oz touring wagon/SUV. For us, the value here against similar cars in the segment was very hard to beat, so overall, very happy.
