    2026 Nissan Micra

The Nissan Micra is a discontinued light hatchback that served as one of Nissan's smallest and most affordable models in Australia. It was aimed at first-car buyers, city commuters and anyone needing easy parking, low running costs and straightforward transport. The Micra's strengths were compact dimensions, simple controls and a cheerful character, making it well suited to dense urban use. It was not a performance or luxury model, but it delivered the basic virtues that matter in a city car: visibility, efficiency and simplicity. Nissan no longer sells the Micra new locally, reflecting the wider shift away from tiny hatchbacks toward small SUVs.
