R35 Nissan GT-R: Mission accomplished
The Nissan GT-R is a discontinued performance coupe that became one of Japan's most recognisable modern supercars. Known by many enthusiasts as Godzilla, it combined a twin-turbo V6, all-wheel drive and rapid acceleration with a level of usability unusual for cars with this pace. In Australia the GT-R attracted buyers who wanted serious performance without the badge formality or pricing of European exotics. Its technology-heavy character, immense grip and tuning potential gave it a loyal following over a long production run. Although it is no longer sold new locally, the GT-R remains a benchmark Nissan performance model and a major part of the brand's enthusiast identity.
