    About the LDV T60

The LDV T60 is a great-looking and well-equipped dual cab ute that comes at a cheaper price than well-used HiLuxes and Rangers and best of all, it also has a five-star ANCAP safety rating and solid new-car warranty.

The subsequent addition of two Trailrider editions with an Aussie suspension tune added some credibility, and then the Mega Tub filled a genuine OEM void.

It's also the first electric ute in Australia.

    Ownership Suitability

Who is the LDV T60 good for?

    Diesel

Braked Towing for the T60 diesel is 3000kg and unbraked is 750kg. Diesel Payload of 925kg in the Pro auto, 935kg in the Pro manual, and 750kg in Luxe models.

    Electric

LDV claims a decent payload of 1000kg, based on a 3300kg GVM, although carrying this would affect the range, we believe.

    LDV T60 Colours

What colours are available for the LDV T60?

The 2023 LDV T60 Max is available in the following colours:

    • Blanc White
    • Lava Grey
    • Metal Black
    • Jewel Blue
    • Maple Leaf Orange

    Cost of Ownership

What is the running, servicing and ownership costs of buying a LDV T60?

LDV hasn’t announced any capped-price servicing scheme.

    LDV T60 Safety Rating

    ANCAP Safety Rating Australia

The LDV T60 Max has a five-star rating from ANCAP, albeit with a 2017 datestamp.

    Standard safety equipment includes:

    • Front, front-side and curtain airbags
    • Reversing camera
    • Rear parking sensors

The Luxe also features a surround-view camera and lane-departure warning.

The electric LDV eT60 EV is explicitly unrated.

There are no active driver-assists such as AEB or blind-spot monitoring available.

    LDV T60 Warranty

What is the warranty period and kilometre limit for the LDV T60?

The Diesel LDV T60 Max is backed by a seven-year, 200,000km warranty with five years or 130,000km of roadside assist.

LDV hasn’t announced any capped-price servicing scheme.

While the diesel models have a seven-year warranty, for some reason the electric eT60’s warranty is five years or 160,000km (whichever comes first), with roadside assist.

However the battery gets an eight-year/160,000km battery warranty.

Servicing intervals are long, every two years or 30,000km, which is another great upside for fleet operators.

    LDV T60 Stock Availability

Is the LDV T60 available to buy now and what are stock levels and how long are wait times?

LDV says supply of the T60 Max has been improving and should further improve into 2023. Sales have been increasing, and the company says it expects the Pro auto to drive much of the demand for this model next year.

    LDV T60 Infotainment

What infotainment do you get within the range?

The touchscreen doesn’t offer navigation unless you have an iPhone and can pair up Apple CarPlay, but it does offer decent graphics, Bluetooth/USB connections, and a reversing camera.

It’s quite a basic system, but at 10.25-inches offers plenty of real estate. The climate control is adjusted via the touch-sensitive black backlit panel below the screen which would be fiddlier to do in work gloves than regular buttons and dials.

Further down live two USB-A ports and a 12V socket, plus a phone stowage section.

    LDV T60 Fuel Economy

How much fuel does the LDV T60 use and what are its emissions?

The 2023 LDV T60 Max uses 9.2L/100km on the combined cycle with the manual and 9.3L/100km with the auto, and has a 73L fuel tank.

The 2023 LDV T60 Max is powered by a 2.0-litre bi-turbo four-cylinder diesel engine producing 160kW of power at 4000rpm and 500Nm of torque between 1500 and 2400rpm.

    It’s mated with either a six-speed manual or a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission.

All models have four-wheel drive, but there are two different suspension tunes: a heavy-duty one for the Pro, and a more comfort-focused one for the Luxe.

The electric LDV eT60 has the following specifications:

    • Power: 130kW
    • Torque: 310Nm
    • Top speed: 120km/h
    • Range claim: 330km
    • Battery: 88.5kWh
    • Towing: 1000kg
