Kia recalls over 100,000 vehicles in Australia for fire risk
2 Years Ago
The Kia Optima was Kia's mid-size sedan before the brand moved to newer naming and SUV-heavy model lines in Australia. It has been discontinued and is no longer on sale as a new car locally, but used examples still appeal to buyers wanting a roomy sedan with good value and a mature driving character. The Optima offered more space and comfort than a small car without the bulk or ride height of an SUV. It suits shoppers who like traditional sedan proportions, a generous boot and relaxed highway manners. Later examples in stronger grades also helped lift Kia's image beyond basic transport.
