Hyundai Veloster: A retrospective as production ends
4 Years Ago
The Hyundai Veloster is a discontinued small coupe-hatch remembered for its unusual three-door layout and playful personality. It gave Hyundai a more individual alternative to conventional small cars, combining a single driver-side door with two passenger-side doors for easier rear-seat access. In Australia the Veloster ranged from style-focused variants to the more serious Veloster N, which helped build Hyundai's performance credibility. It is no longer part of the local new-car range, with the i20 N, i30 N and Kona N carrying the enthusiast brief in different ways. Existing Velosters remain distinctive choices thanks to their design, compact size and mix of coupe looks with hatchback usability.
