    2025 Foton Sauvana

    The Foton Sauvana is a discontinued large SUV from the Chinese commercial-vehicle brand, built around a rugged body-on-frame layout. It was aimed at buyers wanting seven-seat space, towing ability and four-wheel-drive capability at a lower price than better-known ute-based SUVs. The Sauvana is no longer sold new in Australia, and Foton's current local focus is now on the Tunland ute range and Aumark light trucks. Existing examples are niche choices, with value and toughness as their main drawcards. Buyers need to weigh that against limited brand recognition, parts availability and older technology, but the Sauvana still represents Foton's earlier attempt at a family and recreational SUV in Australia.
