    How it Drives

Our expert take on Fiat 500 drivability?

The 2023 Fiat 500 is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine producing just 51kW of power and 102Nm of torque. Although it doesn't seem like much, the vehicle only weighs about 900kg so the power to weight ratio is still relatively reasonable for a city car.

The only transmission available is a five-speed ‘Dualogic’ semi-automatic, with drive sent to the front wheels only.

Fiat claims the 500 can do the 0-100km/h sprint in 12.9 seconds, and flat out you’ll be doing 160km/h.
