Radical Motorsport has teased its new flagship closed-cockpit track car, codenamed Project 25, before it enters production in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Deliveries to customers are also slated for the end of 2023, and just 25 examples will be produced to commemorate 25 years of the company.

The teaser exterior image reveals the bulging fenders and enormous rear wing and diffuser expected of a Radical racer.

Look closer and you can make out a prominent front splitter, while a teaser of the interior shows the carbon-fibre door trim and ‘25’ embossed on the headrest.

The track-only model will be powered by a bi-turbo V6, with an expected power output of 634kW, and will feature the company’s lightweight spaceframe chassis.

As Radical is known for using powertrains sourced from Ford, the Project 25’s engine could therefore be a fettled version of the Blue Oval’s EcoBoost 3.5-litre V6 like in the RXC GT3.

In that model, the EcoBoost has been tuned to deliver 373kW of power – it can’t deliver anymore without falling foul of Balance of Performance regulations.

Radical hasn’t released full specifications for the Project 25, but says these will be announced come early 2023.

“25 years. It’s a huge accolade for Radical Motorsport as a race car manufacturer and single-make racing series organiser. ‘Project 25’ has been designed and will be built to commemorate this milestone and showcase the knowledge and skills our UK-based engineering and manufacturing firm has to offer,” said Radical Motorsport CEO Joe Anwyll.

“We are proud to preview the first glance to press today after unveiling the car to our dealer network and guests of the World Finals [in Las Vegas, USA], yesterday.”

Based in the UK, Radical Motorsport currently sells vehicles in 21 countries through 33 dealers.

It was founded in 1997 by engineers Mick Hyde and Phil Abbott, and has sold over 2000 racing cars since then.
