The Land Rover Defender and Discovery, Jaguar F-Pace, and the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Velar have been called back to workshops to rectify a potential oil leak.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the front-end auxiliary drive belt idler pulley may over rotate and cause damage to the oil pressure and temperature sensor,” says Jaguar Land Rover in its recall notice.

“This may lead to an oil leak and engine stalling resulting in a loss of motive power whilst driving.

“An engine stall or sudden loss of motive power could increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupant and other road users.”
