Mercedes-Benz is recalling 372 examples of its Vito van and related V-Class people mover because the fuel filter drainpipe may rub against the underfloor panel, causing a fuel leak.
This recall affects V-Class and Vito models produced in 2022 with the latest OM654 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel filter drainpipe may come in contact with the underfloor panel and chafe whilst driving,” said the company in its recall notice.
“This could result in a diesel fuel leak and cause a noticeable fuel odour.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact your nearest authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer to have the work carried out as soon as possible.
If you have further questions, you can contact the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Centre on 1300 300 896.
