The Leapmotor B10 electric SUV has been updated in China with larger battery packs, an 800-volt electrical architecture on higher grades, greater driving range, and enhanced cabin tech, while retaining the same starting price.
Leapmotor's best-selling model in Australia, the five-door B10 small SUV – similar in size and price to the MG S5 EV and BYD Atto 2 – was launched here in 2025 as a battery-electric vehicle (EV) with a single motor and rear-wheel drive.
Last month, the B10 Hybrid EV was added to Australian showrooms, with the changes in China limited to the EV so far which has received a raft of technology upgrades which are yet to be confirmed for Australia.
The updates see the Chinese-market equivalent of the Australian Style, the entry-level model priced from $42,980 drive-away, gain outputs of 180kW and 255Nm, up from 160kW/240Nm.

It also receives a 60.8kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery in place of the current 56.2kWh unit, increasing claimed driving range by 30km to 540km under the more generous CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle).
The current Australian B10 Style is rated at 361km under the stricter WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure), with the 30km CLTC improvement likely to equate to about 20km of additional WLTP range.
The changes also reduce the 0-100km/h sprint from 8.0 seconds to 6.6 seconds.
The mid-spec B10 remains on the existing 400-volt architecture, while higher grades in China now adopt an 800-volt electrical system. These models receive a larger 69.7kWh LFP battery, up from 67.1kWh, for a claimed range of up to 610km on the CLTC cycle — an increase of 10km.

The 800-volt architecture also cuts the time required for a 30 to 80 per cent DC fast charge to 16 minutes, compared with 21 minutes for 400-volt models.
The flagship model in China also gains outputs of 185kW and 260Nm, reducing the 0-100km/h time to 6.4 seconds — 1.1 seconds quicker than the 7.5-second claim for the Australian B10 Design flagship.
Inside, the existing 14.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen has been replaced by a larger 17.3-inch 3K display, joined by a redesigned 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 55-inch augmented-reality head-up display.
As with current Australian models, a 360-degree camera and panoramic glass roof remain standard.

The Chinese-market flagship also continues to offer LiDAR to support advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, lane-change assist and rear autonomous emergency braking.
In Australia, Leapmotor rolled out an over-the-air (OTA) update for the B10 in February 2026, improving the smoothness of its ADAS while introducing one-pedal driving and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The brand's biggest seller, the B10 accounted for around two-thirds of Leapmotor Australia's sales between January and June 2026, outselling the larger C10 SUV as the brand posted a 152.1 per cent year-on-year sales increase.
