Mountune is expanding its presence in the Southern Hemisphere, opening its first Australian facility in Tasmania.
The service and logistics facility will help the new Mountune Australia operation supply a range of upgrades and accessories for selected Ford, Volkswagen and Audi performance models.
Until now Mountune has been based in the UK but has worked with Ford Australia previously to offer “OEM+” performance packages to its customers.

Its new expansion will give Australia and New Zealand customers easier accessibility to its range.
Alongside the facility, the company has also launched a local website that details suspension modifications, tunes, exhaust parts and more for the Ford Fiesta ST,Ford Focus ST and RS, Ford Puma, Volkswagen Golf GTI and R, and Audi S3.
Mountune’s Smartflash upgrades provide a noticeable improvement in outputs for the Ford Fiesta ST and Ford Focus ST with the latter gaining an additional 140Nm of torque.
The company also offers tunes for the MK7 and MK7.5 Volkswagen Golf and MK3 Audi S3.

Mountune was established in 1980 by David Mountain. Its Australian operations will be run by Tom Wallace.
“Working with such an iconic brand with a rich history in the automotive and racing industry is a privilege,” said Mr Wallace.
“In setting up Australian operations we can improve on our overall customer experience which is paramount to our values.
“Building a strong fitment/support program through our dealer network strategy will also assist with these goals.”
