2025 Audi S3 Sedan review
Pros
- Now a proper little sleeper weapon
- Price advantage over key rivals
- Excellent, user-friendly tech
Cons
- Still some cheap-feeling plastics
- Fiddly drive mode selection
- Looks are almost too subtle

The Audi S3 is the performance step between the regular A3 and the RS3, offering strong pace without the harder edge or price of the full RS model. The current Australian S3 uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 245kW and 420Nm, matched with quattro all-wheel drive and a dual-clutch automatic transmission. A five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty applies. The S3's strength is its usability: it is quick, secure and polished, yet still compact enough for daily driving. It lacks the five-cylinder drama of the RS3, but it offers a more balanced mix of performance, refinement and value within Audi's small-car range.
