Deepal Australia is offering its Tesla Model Y-rivalling mid-size electric SUV with discounted pricing, but only if you’re happy to have bigger wheels.
The Deepal S07 is being offered for $47,990 drive-away, when equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels and Dunlop tyres, until July 31, 2026.
Premium paint remains an $800 option, though only Comet White, Lunar Grey and Eclipse Black finishes remain available.
The Chinese brand says it has run out of stock of the S07 with the standard 19-inch alloys and Giti tyres, which were being offered for $46,990 drive-away.

While Deepal launched the S07 with a price tag of $53,900 before on-road costs, there have been various deals and promotions since mid-2025, when the brand launched a $49,990 drive-away offer.
The S07 is available here exclusively with a single-motor rear-wheel drive electric powertrain, producing 160kW of power and 320Nm of torque. Its claimed 0-100km/h time is 7.9 seconds.
A 79.97kWh ternary lithium battery gives the S07 a WLTP driving range of 475km, and supports 11kW AC and 92kW DC charging.

Standard equipment includes a panoramic fixed-glass roof, a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an augmented-reality head-up display, power tailgate, 50W ventilated wireless phone charger, leatherette seat upholstery, and heated, ventilated and power-adjustable front seats.
Deepal vehicles, distributed here by Subaru importer Inchcape, are backed by a seven-year, 160,000km vehicle warranty and an eight-year, 240,000km battery warranty.
“The S07 continues to build strong momentum in Australia and has resonated exceptionally well with customers over the past few months,” said a spokesperson for Deepal Australia.

“Demand for the model has been particularly strong, with the 19-inch wheel variant now completely sold out. A limited number of S07s with 20-inch alloy wheels remain available, with stock varying by retailer and region. All remaining inventory is 2025 built and certified.”
Deepal is far from alone in still offering discounts after the rush at the end of financial year.
Chery, GWM, MG and various other brands are also all still offering discounts, including price reductions of thousands of dollars, on selected vehicles in their model lineups.
Deepal offers just two models in Australia: the S07 which debuted the brand here late in 2024, and the E07 Multitruck that followed in 2025.

To the end of June, Deepal has delivered 522 examples of the S07 this year, as well as 215 examples of the E07 which was affected by a stop-sale as it didn’t meet an Australian Design Rule (ADR) concerning child-seat anchor points. Deliveries have subsequently resumed.
The S07 appears to be steadily growing in popularity, given just 287 examples were recorded as delivered in the entire 2025 calendar year. So far this year, it’s outpacing the Leapmotor C10 (268) but is well behind the Geely EX5 (6756) – both of which come from brands that have been in Australia a similar length of time to Deepal.
Deepal’s mid-size electric SUV will soon have a platform-mate in Australia, albeit not under the Deepal brand. The Mazda CX-6e due here later this year is based on the S07.
Deepal’s smaller S05 electric SUV, which was originally confirmed for local release in the second half of 2025, still has yet to arrive here despite appearing in government approval documents in January 2026.
The brand has confirmed to CarExpert that the S05 is “now in its final stages ahead of its Australian launch”, and says it will share more details “very soon”.
