BYD rolls out deals across its most popular models

BYD has introduced a raft of offers across several of its best-selling nameplates, and they're available until September 30, 2026.

The deals comprise drive-away pricing, cashback incentives, and cashback 'Your Way' offers, in which customers can choose between receiving money back or putting it towards "selected products and services" such as accessories, car care products, and charging solutions.

Drive-away pricing is available for selected Sealion 7, Sealion 8, and Shark 6 variants. All three maintain the same list price but now include statutory on-road costs, which could mean savings of roughly $5000 depending on your state or territory.

Meanwhile, $2000 cashback is available on the Sealion 8 Dynamic AWD and Premium AWD.

BYD's cashback 'Your Way' offers vary depending on the model, with $2000 available for the electric Atto 2 Premium and $3000 available for the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) Shark 6 Dynamic dual-cab/chassis.

That means drive-away pricing is available for only the base Sealion 8 Dynamic FWD PHEV, the base Sealion 7 Premium EV, and the mid-spec Shark 6 Premium PHEV ute.

Typical pricing for the models eligible for cashback is as follows:

Powering both the Shark 6 Dynamic and Premium is the same PHEV system, which comprises a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and dual electric motors. Peak system outputs are quoted at 321kW of power and 650Nm of torque.

Dynamic AWD and Premium AWD variants of the Sealion 8 large SUV also use a PHEV powertrain comprising a 1.5-litre turbo-four and dual electric motors, albeit with outputs bumped to 359kW and 675Nm. The Dynamic FWD loses the rear electric motor and brings peak outputs down to 215kW and 315Nm.

As for the EVs included in the offer, the Atto 2 Premium small SUV is powered by a single front-mounted electric motor with peak power and torque quoted at 130kW and 290Nm, respectively. It has a claimed WLTP driving range of 345km.

The Sealion 7 mid-size electric SUV is also single-motor, though it's rear-wheel drive instead. It produces up to 230kW and 380Nm, with BYD claiming a WLTP driving range of 482km.

Three of the four nameplates included in these offers are currently BYD's most popular models. The Sealion 7 is by far the Chinese brand's best-seller so far in 2026, with 15,064 units delivered to the end of July, followed by the Shark 6 with 10,709 sold in the same period.

Third is the Atto 2, which has managed 6615 sales in the first seven months of 2026. The Sealion 8 ranks fifth with 5779 deliveries, behind the smaller Sealion 6 mid-size PHEV SUV.

The offers apply to vehicles ordered between August 1 and September 30, and delivered by October 31, 2026.
