Services on Adelaide’s unique O-Bahn busway were temporarily interrupted on December 15 after an elderly motorist drove onto the dedicated bus-only tracks, despite numerous warning signs.
According to South Australia Police, at 7pm on Sunday evening, an elderly Hyundai Getz driver accidentally drove onto the O-Bahn – which consists of dedicated train-like tracks for buses – near the Tea Tree Plaza interchange, approximately 17km from the Adelaide CBD.
The incident resulted in delays for city-bound buses, however services remained running while the Hyundai was craned out of its precarious position.
