The Kia K4 has been named Australia’s best affordable small car in the second annual CarExpert Choice Awards.
It beat out the Hyundai i30 Sedan and Mazda 3 to the award.
Last year, the Hyundai i30 Sedan claimed the gong and the Kia K4 was a runner-up.
But since the inaugural CarExpert Choice Awards, Kia has updated the K4 with a new, more efficient and more pleasant base powertrain. It has also gained a practical and distinctive hatchback body style.
Looking for your next car? We'll help you research and compare so you choose with confidence.

All that’s missing, at least for now, is a hybrid powertrain to match the Hyundai.
Kia’s small hatch and sedan features a stylish and well-appointed interior, and thoroughly modern technology.
From the entry-level S variant through to the top-spec GT-Line flagship with its punchy turbocharged engine, the K4 is enjoyable to drive and has a comfortable ride.
Whether you’re looking at an entry-level small car or something fully loaded, the Kia K4 should be at the top of your shortlist.
