The 2025 Discovery – formerly known as the Land Rover Discovery – has scored a more powerful turbo-diesel engine and a special anniversary model.
The Discovery 35th Anniversary has joined the range as a celebration of the nameplate’s launch in 1989.
Priced from $133,176 before on-road costs, it’s $17,170 more than the entry-level Discovery, and a $2771 increase on the Dynamic HSE.

The Discover’s P360 petrol engine is unchanged, however the D300 diesel has now been replaced by the D350.
It still uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder diesel engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, but its outputs have been increased to 257kW (up 37kW) and 700Nm (up 50Nm).
Its fuel consumption figure has gone up by 0.3L/100km, now drinking 7.8L/100km.

The Discovery is backed by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty in Australia, in line with the rest of Land Rover’s model range.
A pre-paid service plan is available, covering five years or 102,000km. It costs $2450 on P360 models and $2850 on D350 models.
The Discovery is unrated by ANCAP, as its five-star rating expired at the end of 2023.
