Interested in a Kia Cerato?

The 2024 Kia Cerato has been hit with a price rise of $900 without any additional features, ahead of the current-generation hatch and sedan range reaching the end of the line.

Drive-away pricing for the Kia Cerato now ranges from $28,790 in base S guise to $39,290 for the flagship GT, up $900 on the year prior.

“Pricing was adjusted in line with economic increases and came into effect on January 1,” a Kia Australia spokesperson told CarExpert.

Since the current-generation Cerato launched in 2018, the drive-away price of its entry-level grade has increased by $8800, though the then-cheapest Cerato S manual was dropped in 2022 following a facelift.

When comparing automatic versions only, the current Cerato’s price has risen by $6800 in six years.

As previously reported, a replacement of the Kia Cerato is due in the near future, having been spied with bolder fastback-esque styling.

The Kia Cerato GT gains a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, developing 150kW of power and 265Nm of torque, also sent to the front wheels but through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
