Interested in a Hyundai i30?

The updated Hyundai i30 Sedan N range will be priced from $52,000 before on-road costs, according to a dealer bulletin seen by CarExpert.

That’s an increase of $1800 over the outgoing model and that price applies whether you opt for the six-speed manual or eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, with the only options being premium paint ($595) and a sunroof ($2000).

The updated sports sedan has previously been confirmed for a local launch in the first quarter of 2024.

UPDATE, 10/01/24 15:00 – We’ve updated this article with additional information from Hyundai’s official release.

The electronic controlled suspension has an updated, locally developed tune said to improve ride comfort without any dynamic compromise.

There’s a strengthened body structure, and changes under the skin include a reinforced engine mount membrane that’s also said to reduce vibration, and G-bushing reinforcement to deliver improved yaw response.

The motor-driven steering system has been revised for greater feedback and directness, while the brakes are said to have better performance and fade resistance. Hyundai has also tweaked the electronic stability control software.

The front-end styling has been revised for a more “menacing” look, while there’s also a new, deeper rear bumper and 19-inch black forged alloy wheels that are lighter than before.

Inside, the i30 Sedan N gains a revised wireless phone charger, plus front and rear USB-C outlets: one up front, and two in the rear.

Hyundai has added the Bluelink suite of connected car services, which includes features like automatic collision notification, an emergency call function, a voice assistant, and remote control of climate and vehicle functions.

The company is offering five years of complimentary connectivity, which is transferrable to subsequent owners.

However, there’s no mention of new features revealed in Korea, including adaptive cruise control, a Blind-Spot View Monitor, surround-view camera, built-in dashcam and heated second-row seats.
