Cupra’s latest special edition takes the base Leon V and adds more kit while dropping the price.
The 2024 Cupra Leon V Tribe Edition is priced at $47,888 drive-away, or $1302 less than the base Leon V.
Over the V, it receives 18-inch alloy wheels with a black and copper finish, plus a black rear spoiler extension and a dark aluminium finish for the side skirts.
It also features a Petrol Blue dashboard like the flagship VZx, with matching Petrol Blue Nappa leather upholstery.

As with the VZx, the front seats feature heating, with the driver’s seat also featuring power adjustment and memory.

As with the Leon V, the Tribe Edition is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 140kW of power and 320Nm of torque.

It’s mated with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and, as with all Leons in Australia, it’s front-wheel drive.
Cupra has sold 91 Leons in Australia this year to the end of March. It has outsold the Ateca by almost three-to-one, but in turn has been outsold by more than three-to-one by the Formentor.
The Born rounds out the range, with 153 sold. With 579 sales thus far this year, Cupra is outselling Peugeot (494 sales) and Citroen (29 sales) combined, though the fledgling brand is still short of its corporate cousin Skoda (1553 sales).
