Keen on a Volkswagen Touareg or Arteon? Now might be the time.
Volkswagen Australia is giving buyers of its two flagship cars a free (transferable) five-year or 75,000km servicing plan worth between $2500 and $3600 at market prices.
The promotion only comes on MY22 vehicles purchased before December 31, and is available for buyers paying upfront or financing.
Based on VW’s service care plan prices, Touareg 210TDI customers save $3600 and Touareg 170TDI buyers reduce their ownership costs by $3000.
Purchasers of relevant Arteon 206TSI and Arteon 140TSI models save $2700 and $2500, respectively.
“Our team has been working to provide solutions to the rising production costs and supply restrictions that are global and industry-wide challenges,” said Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles brand director Michal Szaniecki.
“We have successfully negotiated greater production for Touareg, created innovative limited edition variants in a variety of model lines, and now reduced servicing charges and provided drive-away pricing offers as elements we can control locally.”
The Touareg 170TDI is currently on offer for $94,990 drive-away, equating to a discount of about $2700.
As reported in May this year, Volkswagen Australia “negotiated a prioritisation of Touareg volume” with its head office, to secure an influx of the high-margin models from the factory in Slovakia, and to thereby make its 2022 sales potential about level with those of the previous two years.
