The 2021 Jaguar E-Pace has been recalled due to a fault with the driver’s seatbelt pre-tensioner.

“An incorrect wiring harness configuration to the restraints control module (RCM) links the wrong seat belt buckle,” the company says in its recall notice.

“This can cause the driver’s seatbelt pre-tensioner to not function, unless the front passenger seat is occupied

“In the event of an accident, the driver’s seat belt pre-tensioner may not operate when required. This could increase the risk of injury or, in the case of a serious accident, increase the risk of death to vehicle occupants.”

    • A total of 133 vehicles are affected
    • Vehicles were available for sale from June 16, 2020 to February 24, 2021
    • The VIN list is attached here
    • The original recall notice is attached here

Jaguar Land Rover is contacting affected owners and advising them to go to a dealer to have the seats realigned and repaired, free of charge.
