Inchcape has recalled the 2016 Peugeot 4008 SUV to fix a problem with the parking brake.

“There may be insufficient engagement of the parking brake, due to excessive internal tolerances of the rear brake calipers,” the company says in its recall notice.

“The vehicle may not be sufficiently restrained when the parking brake is applied. The vehicle may move and increase the risk of an accident, causing injury to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders.”

    • A total of 22 cars are included in the recall
    • Affected cars were sold between 20 May, 2016 and 27 May, 2016
    • A VIN list of affected vehicles is attached here
    • The original recall is attached here

Inchcape will contact owners of the affected vehicles to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
