Alpina is sending off the current BMW 5 Series with a hotter version of its twin-turbo V8 B5 with more power and torque, but it's not coming here.

2022 Alpina B5
The new Alpina B5 is a Large Luxury offered in both 4D Sedan and 5D Sedan body styles. Available in Australia from $210,000 (MLRP, excl. on-roads) for the Base variant and topping out at $217,000 for the Base.
There is 1 variant of the B5 available in Australia and this generation went on sale in August of 2019.
The Alpina B5 is only available with an null motor that produces 447kW and 800Nm of torque. All variants feature four-wheel drive.
The new 2020 B5 is offered with a 3 year, unlimited km warranty.
