The McLaren GT is a discontinued grand tourer that aimed to combine the brand's carbon-fibre performance engineering with greater long-distance comfort. It used a twin-turbocharged V8 and mid-engined layout, but added more luggage space, a calmer cabin and a smoother road-focused character. In Australia it appealed to buyers who wanted an exotic car for touring, weekend escapes and daily use, not only track-day intensity.
