The Honda Prelude returns as a sporty coupe nameplate with a hybrid focus, giving Honda a more emotional model alongside its SUVs and mainstream passenger cars. Historically, the Prelude was known for accessible performance, sharp styling and technology such as four-wheel steering. The new version is expected to lean more toward efficient grand touring than raw sports-car aggression, but the badge still carries strong enthusiast recognition. In Australia it gives Honda a chance to offer something more distinctive than another SUV. Its appeal will be strongest for buyers who want coupe style, Honda engineering and a daily-friendly performance flavour in a market with fewer affordable two-door options.
