GWM Steed Comparison

The GWM Steed is a discontinued ute that predates the current Cannon range and reflects an earlier stage of the brand's Australian development. It competed mainly on price, giving trades and value-conscious buyers access to a basic dual-cab or cab-chassis work vehicle for less than the established Japanese utes. The Steed is no longer sold new, and the Cannon has moved GWM's ute offering into a more modern, better-equipped space. Existing examples are budget workhorses, but age, safety, refinement and support are important considerations. Its significance is that it gave GWM a foothold in Australia's ute market before the brand became more polished and competitive.
