YouTuber B is for Build has wiped a whole second off Tesla’s 0-60mph (0-96km/h) claim in the Model 3 Performance by cutting off all of its doors and “unnecessary” components.
The stripped Model 3 Performance was able to achieve a 0-60mph (0-96km/h) time of 2.46 seconds, bringing it closer to the official Model S Plaid claim of 1.99 seconds.
Chris – the man behind B is for Build – and his team ‘harvested’ all panels and exterior lights except the tail lights in an effort to reduce weight.
The team made the decision to expose the front motor and wiring throughout the vehicle, however the rear motor is kept covered.

The final product features the original dashboard, front seat, the centre console, makeshift tail lights and a portion of the B-pillar which houses the seatbelt.
The Tesla Model 3 Performance has a maximum speed of 261km/h. The brand claims with all of its bits and pieces included, the vehicle can reach 0-100km/h in 3.3 seconds.
Its dual-motor set-up can produce 377kW of power to all-four wheels.
