KGM SsangYong Australia is recalling more than 15,000 vehicles across the Musso and Rexton model lines as they could suddenly lose power.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, under certain driving conditions the engine cooling fan fuse may fail,” the company says in its recall notice.
“As a result, the engine may overheat leading to a sudden loss of motive power whilst driving.
“A sudden loss of motive power whilst driving increases the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with a KGM SsangYong dealer to have the cooling fan wiring harness replaced, free of charge.
