Maserati is recalling 40 examples of V8-powered Ghibli, Levante and Quattroporte models as there’s potential for a vehicle fire.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel piping located in the engine compartment may leak,” the company says in its recall notice.

“A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may cause a vehicle fire.

“A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders.”

    • A total of 40 vehicles are affected from 2020 to 2022
    • VIN lists are attached here and here
    • The original recall notice is attached here

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with a Maserati dealer for a free repair.
