The Hot Wheels Legends Tour is coming back to Australia, offering you the chance to have your own modified car turned into a 1:64 scale model – and sold worldwide.
And the global winner will have the chance to be inducted into the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends.
Each vehicle will be assessed on three key criteria: authenticity, creativity, and ‘garage spirit’.

“For so many enthusiasts, their car isn’t just a project, it’s years of sacrifice, learning and obsession brought to life,” said Wayne Bryant, Chief Merchandise & Growth Officer at Repco Australia – a corporate partner of the tour.
In 2023, it was a cyberpunk-themed 1990 Mazda MX-5 from New Zealand – known as ‘Chimera’ – that won the competition, with the vehicle being immortalised as a toy car.
“Bringing the Hot Wheels Legends Tour to Australia and New Zealand recognises the strength of automotive passion and creativity across our region,” said Paul Faulkner, Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Mattel Asia Pacific.

“We saw that clearly when a New Zealand build reached the global finals in 2023, proving our local talent can compete on the world stage. Launching our first live regional finale is an exciting milestone – we can't wait to crown our next Hot Wheels legend.”
Dates for the 2026 Hot Wheels Legends Tour across Australia and New Zealand, in partnership with Repco and The Warehouse, will be announced soon.
