BYD’s local distributor is offering sharper drive-away pricing on its Seal sedan as part of an end of financial year offer.
The discounted pricing applies only to MY23 examples of the mid-range Premium and flagship Performance delivered before June 30, 2024.
It brings their prices to $58,798 drive-away and $68,748 drive-away, respectively, in the territories and most states.
The exception is Western Australia, where these vehicles are priced at $60,798 and $70,748 drive-away.

These models are usually priced at $58,798 and $68,748 before on-road costs.
Drive-away savings are as follows:
| Drive-away savings (Premium) | Drive-away savings (Performance) | |
|---|---|---|
| Queensland | $1889.95 | $2083.95 |
| New South Wales | $3023 | $3498 |
| Victoria | $3212.10 | $3615.30 |
| South Australia | $2899.04 | $3283.04 |
| Western Australia | $2963.87 | $3637.14 |
| Tasmania | $2870.62 | $3250.62 |
| Northern Territory | $903.25 | $1194.25 |
| Australian Capital Territory | $666.20 | $666.20 |
You can view the full terms and conditions of the offer on the BYD Australia website.

The offer applies to buyers who have purchased an MY23 Seal Premium or Performance previously but haven’t yet taken delivery.
The offer doesn’t apply to vehicles delivered before June 7, 2024.
The Seal went on sale in Australia late in 2023 as BYD’s rival to the Tesla Model 3.
It’s currently BYD’s best-selling model, with 3386 examples delivered between January 1 and May 31 – just ahead of the Atto 3 (3375 deliveries) and well ahead of the cheaper Dolphin hatch (1044 deliveries).
The Seal range opens with the Dynamic. Pricing remains unchanged at $49,888 before on-road costs.
| Model | Drive-away price (WA) | Drive-away price (everywhere else) |
|---|---|---|
| MY23 BYD Seal Premium | $60,798 | $58,798 |
| MY23 BYD Seal Performance | $70,748 | $68,748 |
