A 20-year-old hoon from Seattle has been banned from driving his obnoxiously loud muscle car – but not all cars – after terrorising local neighbourhoods with his late-night antics.

NBC’s King 5 News reports Miles Hudson has long been known to residents of the city for driving his Dodge Charger Hellcat Jailbreak Edition – which has a modified exhaust with no mufflers – around the region in the early hours of the morning.

These actions have drawn the ire of Seattle residents, who have documented his movements on Reddit. They claim the car is deafening, preventing them from sleeping late at night.

Mr Hudson, who goes by the username srt.miles on Instagram, was charged with two counts of reckless driving last week, which came after he posted videos to the social media platform in which he street raced another Charger, reaching up to 172km/h (107mph).

Mr Hudson pleaded not guilty to the two charges, however the Seattle Municipal Court banned him from driving the Charger Hellcat for 12 months. The 20-year-old can, however, continue to drive other vehicles.

The 20-year-old has reportedly been stopped and spoken to by police multiple times this year, at one point telling officers the videos he’s made have paid for his car.

“[I plan to] keep doing what I’m doing. I’m going to make a career out of this,” he reportedly told Seattle police officers.
