Tata Xenon
The Tata Xenon is a compact ute that gave the Indian brand a brief presence in Australia's workhorse market. It is no longer on sale as a new model locally, and Tata has not maintained the same passenger or light-commercial footprint here as larger ute brands. The Xenon was aimed at buyers needing basic utility, diesel torque and affordability, with single- and dual-cab body styles offered during its time on sale. Its appeal was value and simplicity, but it faced tough competition from better-known Japanese and Thai-built utes with stronger dealer networks and refinement. Today it sits as a niche, discontinued work ute, not a mainstream alternative.
