The Alpina B3 is no longer on sale as a new car in Australia, but it remains one of the most desirable modern Alpina models. Based on the BMW 3 Series, it added Alpina's distinctive mix of understated design, hand-finished details and serious six-cylinder performance. The B3 was available locally as a high-output petrol sedan or Touring-style wagon depending on generation, giving it a more discreet personality than a full BMW M car while still delivering rapid real-world pace. Its appeal is the way it blends everyday refinement, long-distance comfort and strong performance without shouting about it. Among compact executive performance cars, the B3 remains a polished and characterful alternative to the M3.
