ŠKODA is a Czech manufacturer founded in 1895 originally called Laurin & Klement and based in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic. In 1925 Laurin & Klement was sold to Škoda Works, which itself became state-owned in 1948. Today it is part of the Volkswagen Group of companies.
