Volvo Car Australia has recalled the 2020 XC40 to rectify an issue with its brake booster.

According to the company, brake performance could be reduced because one of the nuts connecting the brake booster to the car’s frame may be missing.

If braking performance is reduced, there is an increased risk of accident causing injury to occupants and other road users.

    • A total of 32 vehicles are included in this recall
    • A VIN list of the affected vehicles is attached here
    • The original recall notice is attached here

Affected XC40 owners have been advised to contact their closest authorised Volvo dealer to arrange an inspection and free repair, or contact the Volvo Customer Relations team on 1300 787 802.
