Better late than never, right?

Volkswagen’s Golf-based T-Roc SUV will finally arrive in Australian showrooms sometime late in August, around three years after its launch in Europe. The entry-level 110TSI Style will arrive a little later, in November.

The T-Roc slots in below the Tiguan but above the Polo-based T-Cross.

The base 110TSI Style is hardly wanting for features, with standard equipment including adaptive cruise control, proximity entry with push-button start, and ambient interior lighting.

For a full list of features, see Standard Equipment below.

The range-topping T-Roc model for now is the special edition X, limited to just 200 units.

It’s no mere decal special though, with meaningful additions including adaptive suspension and a power tailgate.

There are some notable cosmetic enhancements, too, such as black 19-inch alloy wheels and a two-tone appearance. X models are either white with a red roof or red with a black roof and trim.
